I have Wedding Gown na!!!

Finally bought my Wedding Gown yesterday in Divi. Ready to Wear na coz I'm scared what and how it will turn out pag pasadya in Divi. Bought it only for 3,700php!!! Yey! What a steal! Can;t post pics here, at baka macheck pa ni H2B hehe!

BTW, if you guys are wondering. I'm not gonna use my Ninang's Filipiniana Gown na.. why? I just think it's not right for me.

Color Motif-FINALLY!

Have been having a hard time picking out our color motif. At first it was purple, but since everyone else's wedding this year has prple as motif, ayaw na namin.
We then opted for Gold and White, but after some thinking, di ko na gusto coz I don't think I would like a gold gown for my ento.
I thought Brown and Gold, but too boring for my tastes.
Then i thought what if Green, white, and brown..ayaw ni h2b. and I was having 2nd thought pa rin coz looks too nature-loving.

So finally, I've decided on PINK and BROWN! :) or should I say BROWN and PINK!!! kasi I don't want the ribbons on the chairs to be pink. siguro accents lang yung pink, like for flowers, etc. pero ento gowns and ribbons on chairs will be brown (dark brown) and maybe with little touches of ink (light pink), not sure pa :)

I'm thinking pink candies and chocolates for giveaways??? Haha!

Time flies so fast! Can't believe it's only 4 months away!!!

I think I regressed in my updates. I no longer have a gown (turns out I didn't feel the filipiniana thing so much, the gown is too conservative for my tastes haha), so I might just go to Divi and look for an affordable gown. We'll see, if meron na okay naman.

And so.. I also no longer have a theme! I can have Filipiniana theme pa rin but I wanted my bridesmaids gowns to have color naman.. but I don't know what.

I kinda fell in love with my cater's White and gold Filipiniana theme, but don't want my ento gowns to be gold. What to do, What to do? Haaay.

Time flies so fast

So far we just booked church, and cater (cater comes with free venue and cake and lights though)
I hope we get to book our Photographer on Friday! (I already set an appointment) :)
Oh and I have a gown na pala, but needs refitting :)

I've been having problems with the entourage. I said I'm having 2 maid of honors right.. turns out I don't think I want that, and others dont want it as well. maybe I just need one. I can't chose between the two that I had in mind, so I might assign it to someone else, someone more appropriate, a relative.:) Will ask Manny to see the list first before announcing it to them :)

The wedding gown came a few days ago! :)

.. and I tried it on! Hahaha!

Well, I had to cause it was my Ninang's from way back so I had to check if it fits me and visualize how to alter it or something.

It's so Filipiniana. I love it! :)

It's a bit big for me so really have to make it pa alter and also buy/pagawa a new veil cause the one that went with it was cut by my Ninang on the day of her wedding back in the 90's.

and I dunno what shoes I'm gonna wear. and accessories! Haha I'm excited, can you tell?

999 -lucky?

Well, a few people said that our 9.9.9 date might be unlucky. Didn't matter to me that much anyway cause we didn't chose the date for luck or whatever, the date just means a lot to both of us. So unlucky or not, we would still stick to 09.09.09

and then today...
I came across an article about lucky weddings in 2009 in Kasal.com..
and turns out 09.09.09 is a lucky day to get married :)

Updates: Theme and Guestlist

I don't know if I informed you guys that we'll be having a Filipiniana Themed Wedding. Why? cause the wedding gown that I will be wearing is from my Ninang (the one she wore when she got married back in the 90's) is Filipiniana Themed. I'll try to scan a picture of it so I could show you guys. Anyway last time I saw it was on her wedding day, so I'm hoping it's still in tact hehe!

Manny originally wanted to wear a Tuxedo. But with my Wedding gown, he has to wear Barong. Plus since we're on a really tight budget, barong is really the way to go.

We're thinking what would be a good color for our wedding. My Gown will be cream in color. We were thinking.. Fushia and Cream? What do you think?

So far, we've booked the venue, the caterer and the church! We've also drafted the Entourage list :) the guestlist we still don't know yet, cause we can't seem to trim our guests down to 100. My side it's 60+ already not inlcuding some friends I would like to invite as well. W e can't afford to add more seats/plates from the cater. Oh well, we'll see what will happen in the next months.

Manny booked the Church already (last Oct 22)! so it's official, We're getting married 09.09.09 at 4pm! :)

Booked Caterer and Venue!

We booked our Caterer (Jack and Jenn) today! They have a promo wherein you can avail of the 1peso venue. So the venue we picked was Citadella Clubhouse cause its nearest to our Church (which we haven't booked yet! we can't seem to find time).
I loved how Jack and Jenn can decorate our wedding as filipinina style with abaca and capiz and sampaguita and the likes. So less hassle and gastos for me. If I booked another caterer then I might spend more with decor cause other caterers have set design with their packages and since my gown is filipinina di babagay.
Jenn was really friendly and warm to talk to. She's makwento and ma-PR :) She even offered to help with the rest of my suppliers. Glad to have booked them. (well we'll see pala)

so.... 2 down! a lot more to go!

Entourage: 2 Maids of Honors?

We went to Festival's Bridal Fair today. Had food tasting with JackandJenn Catering. We've decided to get them as our caterer, so will go back tomorrow to pay reservation fee :)

When we got home, we both (My soon2b-hubby and I) got excited over our Wedding! So we made a draft list of our Entourage! Will not post the list yet cause might change it pa.

I'm thinking of having 2 Maids of Honors though? Can that be? It's cause I have 2 Best friends from college and I can't just make one Maid of Honor without the other one getting jealous. And I want them both too!

I finally made time to call the churches today!

Mary, Mother of Church Parish (BFRV)

St. Joseph The Worker Parish (BF Mariposa)

9,600php (with flowers in isle and altar)
850php reservation fee

Presentation of the Child Jesus Parish

We decided to go with St. Joseph The Worker Parish, since its love offering only and we love how the church is small lang so intimate ang dating.
We will buy na lang flowers from Dangwa. I hope not so expensive.

So Date change again: Back to 09.09.09 :)

Turns out my Ninang will be here that date. and I really want her to be on our wedding. and cause 09.09. is a special date for us :)

So I'm quite excited already! A year and a month to go! :)

Jack&Jenn catering quoted already for 100 guests for us. maybe a free venue in Las Pinas (dunno where pa). and wedding cake also. it's 58,000php. But we have to book asap. 25% dp. Dunno yet if we could. Maybe I'll check out other catering first. It's too early to decide on catering, I dunno. Just want to book the church and the venue already! But if Jack&Jenn will give free venue then I guess it's wise to book them na rin. although kailangan compute muna ako with other caterer. Baka mas mura pala if kahit di free venue sa iba.

We decided to change the Wedding date.

We agreed on December 2009 :) Will announce date after I finalize everything. But we're thinking around Dec 12 or Dec 19 or 20. But we're leaning on Dec 12 :)

I guess I'll have to change my Blog Title, coz there will be no 9.9.9 wedding. haha! I was thinking rin na medyo malas ang 999. But sayang casue that was our first kiss, perfect sana. But Dec rin naman nag iloveyou kami to each other haha! Dec 22 to be exact but can't make the wedding date on dec 22 kasi weekday eh. We want sana weekend.

Looking for a Photographer

I YM'd a friend of mine who now is a photographer for weddings. Asked her their rates.
Asked for her to give me a discount. Then she asked for my budget, didn't know what to say since I haven't really started budgeting everything. I just know it's 100k php for everything.
So I might start going to church and venue and asking na for their rates.
And I hope my photog friend can give me a good discount :)

The date that we love (9.9.09) falls on a Wednesday... Are Weddings supposed to be on Sundays?

Need your comments. Don't know if we should change the date.

The reason why we love 9.9.09 is because 09.09 was when we had our first kiss. So It's kind of like it all started with a kiss and on that same day it'll start with a kiss as well.

So what do you guys think? Change date or not?

I had a chat with my cousin and she said she would like to help in planning ng wedding. I really got excited as she typed her/our plans. We'll probably do a Filipiniana type wedding, since my gown is filipiniana. Can't wait to plan it all! Shux! Money problems though kaya can't really start planning pa at I might get disappointed. Haay...We'll see after Mikel's birthday..

Wedding gown and Date

I just sent an email to my Ninang asking to borrow her Wedding gown. (Mom's idea). Mahal pa kasi magpagawa ng gown so makakatipid talaga if I borrow na lang. My Mom's gown kasi was lent to someone in the province and hindi na nabalik, sayang. Anyway, I'm hoping my Ninang will say yes. *fingers crossed*

About the Wedding date, Mom says why not December na lang so my Ninang will be here (She's in Australia kasi and she goes here every Christmas time) Naisip ko rin na mas marami kami ipon by then, so ok rin. But I can't let go of our date. Sept 9 means so much to us both eh. Well Dec. 22 rin naman, so We'll see :)

extra 10k

Fiance had good news today. we have an extra 10k for savings!

But, I just checked our CreditCard balance and it's almost 10k na rin :(

We fought about it kanina actually. I said the extra 10k is for creditcard na lang. He wanted naman to save the 10k sa bank para may savings na daw for our wedding. There was no conclusion sa away namin. So might as well put it in the bank forst then bahala na when the time comes that we havbe to pay na the creditcard. (mga May 20 pa naman yun)

Not so much progress

Yung 3k na savings, nawala na naman. Had to pay our credit card. I knew we shouldn't have gotten a credit card. Haay. So back to zero.

I'm really worried na with money but my fiance is not worried at all! Siya pa nagagalit sakin kapag worried ako masyado. I just really want our wedding to push through.

We talked about it awhile ago. We'll probably be wed at the church in BF Mariposa (St. Joseph the worker parish) and have the reception at Citadella Clubhouse or BFRV Clubhouse, and get Queensland as Caterer. That's the plan so far. He wants to wear a tux rin daw sa Wedding namin. and Mikel will wear a tux rin daw. hehe so cute, sana kasya sa budget.

problems with money

I am sad coz We only have 3000php savings now for our wedding. Why? cause of pautangs and extra expenses lately. It should have been 9,000php already now for us to save 100,000php before our wedding date. But someone owes us 5 to 6 thousand pesos (not quite sure how much exactly)...Alam niyo naman mahirap maningil, baka nga di pa mabayaran na yun.

I had a SMS "conversation" with Jack and Jen Catering and they said they can fit my budget daw. Gawa lang ako list ng mga Suppliers na meron na ko and how much budget na nakalaan for them. etc.

Hi Everyone! I made a blog about my struggle on the budget of my soon to be wedding. I’m not in the process of planning just yet cause it’s too early for planning anyway, but I sometimes have these ideas in my head so maybe it’s a good idea to type it so I won’t forget.

Target date for wedding is on 09/09/09. cool huh? and 100 thousand pesos na budget.. kulang kaya yun? 100 guests sana kasi :)

That date is also important for us cause on Sept 9 2006 was the first time that we kissed! and so start with a kiss and seal with a kiss. My soon-to-be hubby was the one who said that and we were hearing mass at our preferred church to be married. Nakakakilig

Why on 2009? Well, 1st is We still don’t have any money Haha! and even now, we still don’t. 2nd, hubby-to-be’s sister is getting married on April19 this year.
